I cannot remember when I first spoke about this topic. It may have been in 2012 with the Kuala Lumpur Bar. I did a few sessions of this topic with the Kuala Lumpur Bar and even one with the Melaka Bar.
I do recall that Lee Shih and I started speaking on this topic together in 2018. It was fun, especially when we had group discussions and role-playing activities.
We divided the participants into groups and had them discuss the marketing plans for their newly established fictitious law firms. All publicity rules were thrown out the window, and they came up with all sorts of brilliant ideas—funfairs for clients and their families, a drive-through counter for clients to drop off and sign documents, 24-hour legal services, and more. We held that talk twice in one year.
